Soccer Not Like This, Is Soccer Not Worth Playing

Seriously. I wish with ALL MY HEART, I could do this! IT'S SO COOL.

I don't know how "official" this video is. It's not released by David Guetta's youtube account so....questionable...

At any rate, the song is David Guetta's LATEST! Featuring the great CHRIS WILLIS (read: Vocalist for Love Don't Let Me Go, LOVE IS GONE, Everytime We Touch and Just A Little More Love).

I'd like to call this song the scorned and bitter lover's anthem. And the track is HOT. I can't wait for One Love to come out! David Guetta is a MONSTER this year! I NEED A GLASS OF WATER, PHEW.

My one love: David Guetta. Idk. Well one of twenty...

Just no getting over you DAVID GUETTA!

RIP DJ AM

Possible drug overdose. Stories still developing. We'll miss you Adam.

Arts and Crafts Mamma!

So I've been on this Arts and Crafts kick recently.

I just moved into a new apartment, and a lot of the tables we have are wooden (or fake wooden but still the same effect). And we all know that wet cups + wood tables = RUINED, stained forever! Which is why coasters were invented.

Anyway, I didn't want to buy coasters so instead I'm making my own out of:

Photobucket
PERLER BEADS. AKA Pyssla Beads in Sweden.

Apparently Ikea sells a giant tub of these things for like $6 (SCREW YOU MICHAELS). Naturally I bought it and now I can make coasters in masse and sell them on ebay or something.

Photobucket
Rubik's cube, Super Mario Bros Box, DOMOKUN

Photobucket
I also made a mooninite from ATHF, or the Great Boston Bomb Scare of 2007. Good times.

But it's really cool because I just leave all the tools on my coffee table...so whenever someone visits they can make me cool coasters too! And they work really well as coasters.

Photobucket
YESSSSS. ARTS AND CRAFTS COFFEE TABLE.

Photobucket
Here's my roommate's failed attempt at making something as cool as I did.

I LOVE PERLER BEAD COASTERS.

Onto my SECOND Arts and Crafts, which I've actually been working on this one for the past year. Being in college and what not, promoters will not LMTFA. And they always slipped these stupid ugly flyers under my door and made me want to kill someone. But I mean, it feels so wasteful to throw them away because they're all glossy and crap, and colorful.

So I started taping them all over my door. And after collecting the flyers for a while it got pretty intense. And I love it.

I mean, look how cool that flyer art is! It's really such a waste of hip, more importantly SUGGESTIVE, art!

I mean look at that BAMF Flyer collage. It's like 4 feet tall now. Saving the planet, one flyer at a time. So the point is that you should recycle your flyers. Make something cool out of them like:
- Wall art (like me)
- I've also seen people make floor mats out of them
- A trash can or something like the rolled up magazine trash cans
- A lamp shade
- If you connect them with metal links they could potentially be a really cool curtain or beaded doorway-esque thing

IDK, the possibilities are endless, REALLY!

SHOW ALERT

WHEW. Took a little break there.

But anyway, here to alert that DEADMAU5 is playing a show:
in New Orleans
on November 11, 2009 (MARK YOU CALENDARS)
at the House of Blues
for anyone over 18
also for a mere $25!

Done and Done.

Deadmau5 in MIAMIIIII

What's so cool about this guy is his trademark false head. He wears this giant red mouse head when he performs...it has to get hot as balls in there. Well he probably has some kind of BAMF air conditioning installed inside, IDK.

But yeah, funny story. The first time I saw his name I was like..."Wtf? Dead Mau 5? What does that even mean. " Then I realized it was actually Dead Mau5, like Dead MOUSE. Oh he he he, funny funny.

Photobucket
Deadmau5 being dead.

But yeah, if you're in the area....check it out check it outttttt.

Hear Hear: KING RAT through Heath Ledger's Mind

This music video for Modest Mouse's "King Rat" was just recently released. And it's not just any music video. This video was the vision of/directed by the late Heath Ledger (RIP HEATH A KNIGHTS TALE FOREVER).

The video is making a statement against whale hunting...a very strong, graphic/disturbing and gory statement. But that's the best way to draw a feeling from someone in our fast paced society I think. Sometimes you need to see a person getting harpooned to understand the gravity of whale hunting.

Saddly, Heath died before the video could be completed. But I think he'd be pleased with the final result. It's a powerful video.

From the video description:
"In January of 2007, while visiting his homeland of Australia, Heath Ledger presented Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse with an idea to direct a video for their yet-to-be-released song King Rat. Heaths vision, brave and unapologetic in its nature, would marry his love of bold and original music with his impassioned stance against the illegal commercial whale hunts taking place off the coast of Australia each year.

Always one to operate from his heart and take a stand for what he cared deeply about, Heaths intention was to raise awareness on modern whaling practices through a potent visual piece without having to say a word. It was his way to let the story, in its candid reversal, speak for itself.

The video was fully conceived down to the last detail but unfinished when Heath passed away in January of 2008. We completed the video in his honor with the support and advocacy of Isaac Brock.

Proceeds from iTunes video downloads in the first month of release will go toward Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization organization committed to ending the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species. Sea Shepherd uses direct-action tactics to investigate, document, and take action when necessary to expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas. We encourage you to visit their site in you are compelled to make a larger donation or volunteer your time. http://www.seashepherd.org

The King Rat video was directed by Heath Ledger, co-directed and illustrated by Daniel Auber with lead animation by Norris Houk, animation by Jade Taglioli and produced by Sara Cline of THE MASSES.

THE MASSES and Modest Mouse are proud to present King Rat. We hope Heaths work inspires you in the same way his passion and bravery inspired us."

Spread his legacy! Fight for a cause!
