Beer + Planets = ❤

I love a good Instagram hashtag, as evidenced by our initiation of #snoballproject which was inspired by #popsicleproject. This new one that I found has got to be, by far, the best one I have ever seen.

Seriously, guys this is some good stuff. I've never realized how much the bird's eye view of a pint of beer really does look like an celestial body! Hat's off to the creator of this ingenious hashtag. I love beer and I love outer space. Together, it's justI justI can't evenI'm in love.

The last one is a juice planet, but it's still oh so beautiful. #beerplanets

Oh Great, Amazing Universe

First I have to set a little mood music.

Now let's just take a moment to appreciate space. Because these Cassini photographs of Saturn are absolutely MIND BLOWING. I need these blown up to about 10 feet tall and covering every wall in my room like I need air to survive.

THE SHADOWS!!! Can you imagine what it look like from the "surface" of Saturn!?!!!??!

Some days I wake up and I can't even handle how amazing space is. This is one of those days. I'm so ready for my faster than light spaceship.

The Grasshopper is Kind of Amazing

This is kind of a big deal. I absolutely LOVE SpaceX for everything it's doing that NASA can't. This is how we reach the ~future~. I'm ready for my jetpack and personal spaceship.

Ender's Game Movie Poster

OH sweet childhood nostalgia! The poster for the Ender's Game movie has been released. Fingers crossed it is not a hot mess of a movie. (Because I really want Asa Butterfield to succeed!)

I'm Kind of Obsessed with Space

I am a certifiable space nut. The place is so mysterious and dark (and full of terrors?) and fascinating. I just listened to this really interesting story on Radiolab, which is a podcast that everyone should be subscribed to, involving space and I just had to share it.

17th Century Celestrial Art

So a few months back I fancied myself doing some DIY wall art projects for my room with vintage maps. Unfortunately I still haven't gotten around to any decorating, BUT I did find these AMAZING drawings of the constellations from the 17th century that I want to share with everyone. Because they are really cool.

Celestial Atlas by Ignace Gaston Pardies

I wanted to print them out really big and hang them on my wall, but they're also great as:
  • Wallpapers on your electronics
  • DIY postcards
  • Wrapping paper for small gifts
Anything with paper really. Just wanted to share because they're really cool.
