Yearbook Party

Nope, these aren't photos from an actual yearbook. This was the amazing work of Shark Pig. They threw a Yearbook Party for all of their friends and dressed up in 50's garb to produce this beauty. Um. BRILLIANT idea! After I saw this, I immediately messaged my friend about it. She responded:

"I absolutely love this idea...I never knew how much I needed a mock yearbook spread of all our friends until now."

She's planning on buying a house and she said that this would be the perfect theme for a housewarming party. YES. I cannot wait. I'm making sure that we will follow through with this plan. THIS WILL HAPPEN.

17th Century Celestrial Art

So a few months back I fancied myself doing some DIY wall art projects for my room with vintage maps. Unfortunately I still haven't gotten around to any decorating, BUT I did find these AMAZING drawings of the constellations from the 17th century that I want to share with everyone. Because they are really cool.

Celestial Atlas by Ignace Gaston Pardies

I wanted to print them out really big and hang them on my wall, but they're also great as:
  • Wallpapers on your electronics
  • DIY postcards
  • Wrapping paper for small gifts
Anything with paper really. Just wanted to share because they're really cool.

Honor the new Tron Movie: Turn your Bike into a Light Cycle

Damn I can't wait for Tron to come out.

The Night Bright Tyre comes with LED lights built into the rubber of the tire. When the wheels are spinning you get the stunning Tron ring of light effect. Perhaps if your legs can go fast enough you can also leave a trail of light behind you. In addition to your bike looking like a BAMF the tires are also good for safety and that other irrelevant nonsense.

The tires aren't for sale YET, but I'll take a pair when they come out.

Check out the official website

Now if you're feeling crafty it is possible to put LED lights on your bike yourself (probably won't look as slick or stunning at the Night Bright Tyre but in the darkness does it really matter?)

amazing
Oh Sh-

Spoke POV DIY: Labor intensive and you need some knowledge of wiring and programming and stuff that is generally confusing BUT you get a BAMF end result.

I've seen those at Walgreens!

You can also buy Valve Caps for your wheels that are LEDs, however just having one LED in your wheel means you'll have to pedal faster for the Tron effect. Cheap and easy though.

I wish I got these in my lunchbox when I was a kid.

My mom used to write me cheesy notes all the time and stick them in my lunchbox when I was in elementary school. When I'd open them at lunchtime, it'd be like "SURPRISE!" and it was awesome. But not as awesome as this pirate banana and egg! I probably would've peed on myself in excitement and laughter at the total radical-ness of it all. C'mon mom, couldn't you have been a little more creative? Bahhahha jk mom. Jk. SIKE!

17 days til Halloween!

Since GHP has been putting up all these costume ideas, I thought I'd do my part by giving some input as well. One of the greatest resources IMO is Craftster.org. So, I scratched the surface a bit and found these DIY gems!

1) Where the Wild Things Are

This one would be great for group costuming

No money? This costume is def for you. All you need is practically just tissue paper.

3) Brak
Forget Space Ghost. Team Brak!

And anything else you can think of from The Mighty Boosh

5) Bill, Tank, Zoey

This one's not from Craftster, but it's still pretty freakin awesome.

That's all for now folks! Good luck costuming!

Show me how!

Front cover Back cover
Show Me How is this awesome book that's filled with 500 instructionals on how to do certain stuff. These things range from what foods you should pair with certain wines to picking out gemstones. There's stuff on cooking, surviving in the wilderness, and even fashion. My future roomate just showed me this book and said she's gonna use it for our future coffee table (which has not been attained yet...). I haven' t gotten to look through the whole thing, but I'm definitely going out and buying a copy for myself!

SPAZZ BAM BOOM BANG RAZZZZMATAZZ

AHHHHH It's been so long and I have all this internetage bottled up inside of me and I just have to let it out in one colassal EXPLOSION post!!

When I got a text about the Oprah KFC free meal coupons earlier this week, my roomate and I print out like a gazillion of them. I just found out that KFC is cancelling the deal. Epic fail KFC.

Speaking of texts... ever get that one text that you just wanna mass forward text to all your contacts because it's just so unbelievable aka hilarious? Well now you can post it to the word via texts from last night. I'd say it's the FML of the txting world.

Meat business cards! Meat! Meat! Meat! It's a treat!

The Great American Past Time

Photobucket

How clever is this pong table made out of bottle caps? It's totally DIY-able too. I'm especially fond of the marked spaces for cups. And the fact that you're playing ON Ameri-cuh.

Photobucket

Or for the less ambitious, classier drinker we have liquor bottle candles. Also totally DIY-able for the patient or people who know someone that can cut glass. I'm totes gonna try and get this for my place.
